Straight Line

I want to mark cut lines on a sculpture in Meshmixer. The line must be straight vertically but follows a curve in profile. Is there a tool or method to do that?

I appreciate the guidance. Unfortunately, MM keeps aborting the process. Still at my wit's end. Any other suggestions? Thank you.

Booleans are unpredictable. Just move your cut object a fraction of a mm and then it may suddenly work. Click around on a dozen different settings until it works.
