FAILED TO ROLLBACK PART FOR EDITING

I HAVE A PART DRAWING. BY ITSELF IT IS FINE AND I CAN EDIT IT. BUT WHEN I
BRING IT INTO AN ASSEMBLY AND LOCALIZE IT IT AND THEN TRY TO EDIT IT SAYS
FAILED TO ROLLBACK SKETCH FOR EDITING. OTHER PARTS IN THIS ASSEMBLY ALSO
GIVE THIS ERROR. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME.

Are you on Sp2? It sounds like the externalize issue that Sp2
resolved.

To fix, you must examine all the external files for the 1 culprit
file. It probably has a pattern on it. When you open that bad file,
you will see its quite empty.

An easy way to pin point it is to hide 1/2 the files from the assy at
a time. If the assy is OK, then youve narrowed your search by 1/2.
repeat unil its identified.
