XGen vertex colors

Hi,

is it possible with X-Gen to distribute the vertex color information from the underlying surface to the diffuse color input of the attached hair? If yes, how?

Note: I have geometry from VR created 3D Objects. These doesn’t come with UV maps but Vertex Colors and it's almost not possible to create clean. So the idea is that I receive Hair on the surface with the color of the vertex colors directly without creating a uv map.

System: Win 10,  Redshift.

Could be possible. Do a search for surface sampler nodes and try to feed that into the shader.
I havnt done this but it could be possible.

Thanks!

Unfortunately I couldn't find a way to do so. I receive the vertex color from the redshift vertexcolor node, no problem, but I couldn't find a working input to pipe it in.

note: I also need to mention that the mesh I want to attach hair to is an animated alembic (.abc) and I guess I therefore need the interactive groom.
