Weird triangles visible when using ai_wireframe

I've got a weird issue when i use an ai_wireframe material to render one of my projects in wireframe with arnold renderer.

Weird triangles start to appear on geometry, they do not exist in the viewport, and when i triangulate my mesh the created triangles are different from the ones appearing in the render so i have no idea of what's happening here.

I've used Ngons to model my mesh so maybe that's the problem ? ( I had no problem unfolding UV maps and texturing it )

Yes you made it with a lot of ngons and there could be more dirty mesh in there. Render with a toon outline shader instead.

Hi!

In the Ai Wireframe material:

Wireframe Attributes > Edge Type (set to "polygons", the default is "triangles").

Thanks I found how to do it with the toon shader outline,

First you need to follow this tutorial to set up the toon outline : https://www.saviof.com/tutorials/maya/rendering-wireframe-using-toonshader

And then this tutorial to convert the outlines to polygons : ( otherwise you would not be able to render the outlines using arnold because it uses the old maya renderer to render any toon shader from what i've understood ) : https://download.autodesk.com/us/maya/2010help/index.html?url=Toon_shading_Convert_toon_lines_to_pol...

Here's the result :
