Weird graphical glitch in viewport on objects with smooth preview when using HDRI lighting

Hi, I've recently upgraded from Maya 2023.2 to 2023.3 and just started noticing this weird graphical glitch seen in the images below. Whenever I use HDRI lighting in the viewport using an external .exr file, any objects with smooth preview on will show this strange effect on any surface that is flat and horizontal. I've tried multiple HDRI files with the same result.

Is there anything I can do to resolve this? I would really like to avoid uninstalling Maya and re-installing version 2023.2 if possible.

Update: I uninstalled 2023.3 and reinstalled 2023.2 but this issue continues.

As a workaround, I can slightly tilt the angle of my arnold sky dome light so that this glitch does not appear. The same thing happens with the models I'm working on when I tilt them, but it's not practical to work on them at an angle. This glitch appears to only affect perfectly flat top surfaces in smooth preview.

If anyone knows of a proper solution, any help is much appreciated!

This has nothing to do with HDris , it’s most likely normals related.
