Update Arnold for Maya 2018 without License

Can you update Arnold 5 that comes with Maya 2018 without buying an Arnold license? Mac OSX. Current MtoA version installed is 2.0.2 the newest version of MtoA is 2.0.2.4   Current version of Arnold Core installed is 5.0.1.2 the newest version is 5.0.1.5.

Is there a way to update to the newest version of Arnold? I do not have an Arnold license. Just the version that comes with Maya 2018.

Register at solidangle website and download the update from there.

You can use any version of MtoA in Maya 2017. You don't need an Arnold license to install or use MtoA. MtoA itself is unlicensed.

The only reason to get an Arnold license is to remove the watermark from batch renders.

Maya magically renders without a watermark, but only when you render in the user interface.
