Hello!
This is my first post in the forums. I am a 3D animation student. I had to recreate a lightning setting for an assignment. The only thing left is getting the lamp light to glow like in the last picture I am attaching. I just get the light projection of the light on the table surface, but not the full illuminated light "cone", the beam. My settings should be ok. I see the same thing rendering with Maya Software, Maya Hardware 2.0 and Arnold (with Arnold the results are awful, as you can see in the picture attached). Is it normal that in Maya Hardware 2.0 render I can still see the axis from the Spot Light?
I sent the file to my teacher, who can see the cone like it should look like, but for some reason, I can't. I should have last version of Maya. I am uploading some pictures, so maybe you can come up with a solution. I couldn't upload the file (error: "The attachment's file.mb content type (application/octet-stream) does not match its file extension and has been removed.").
Thank you in advance!
You only get a light cone if there are particles in the air. Like in real live.
You need a volume foog.
Thank you for your answer, Cristoph. That doesn't seem to be the problem, though. It works in my teacher's computer, and I tried in my laptop today and it also worked fine.
Hello. I had the 2024 version. I solved it by installing the 2023 version, in case somebody has the same problem. It also works in version 2023.2. Thank you.
