Rendering Image Planes

Hey there,

I'm reasonably new to Maya (I have been messing around with it a bit). I was wondering if there is a way to render image planes? I have been trying to use png images to create a 2D world just to experiment with. However, when I go to render an image through Arnold with these image planes in my scene, they don't render. Is there a way to do this?

Any help will be really appreciated, so in advance, thank you ❤️

Select your camera shape node (e.g. perspShape) and in the Attribute Editor > Environment > Create Image Plane. Then browse for your image. Arnold will automatically convert the image to .tx for you and place that in the same directory as your original image.
