I have a question - is it possible to change the ground to a texture?
The scene we're trying to create is a skydiving scene. So we want a scene from far above the ground, up in the clouds, so the physical sky is great. But the ground doesn't look too good like earth seen from a distance. And scaling a poly with a texture just doesn't do the trick.
In the attached gif you can see what we want the end result to look like. It's created in After Effects, but as you may know we cant put a camera in there and move around the way we'd like.
So what we want to do in Maya is to change the ground to an earth-satelite texture.
