I tried it the following 2 ways:

1. AI Standard Material with applied Standard Bump2d (set to Tangent space) everything looks fine...Disadvantage: No control over the depth of the normal map.

2. AI Standard Material with applied AIBump2d (no Tangent space available) looks blured in combimation with a diffuse Map...

Hi!

1. A Normal Map does not have a depth value, this is by design, use a bump map if you want to control depth.

2. You should not use aiBump2 for a connection with ai Standard:

Thx for the quick reply... but I still have no effect of my normal map... The normal map was created in mudbox and looks good inside of mudbox

Hi!

Color Space set to "Raw" for your Normal Map?

Please upload the scene-file for further help.

PROBLEM SOLVED...

I used the "send to maya" option to bring my export from mudbox to maya. The delivered material shader of mudbox does not work even though it was declared as AIStandard inside of Maya...

I connected my Diffuse + Normal Map to a new AIstandard shader and it works...

Thx for the support....
