Normal Map Baking Issues

Hi all!

I've been super confused on my normal map process. When I go to bake my normal map from the high model to the low it looks like the second image, smooth, close to the original model, and needing only a few minor adjustments. When I go to import my low model into a new scene with a new material but the same normal map I get the third image as a result. I am not sure what I am doing incorrectly. I would love some assistance.

Thanks!

Destiny

I am still very new when it comes to baking... When you say Raw how can I tell?

go to the texture file attributes and under color space look for raw, normal maps should always be set to that.

Thank you for your time! I took a screenshot of what I see. I am assuming that Color Space is the same as Color Profile? If so I adjusted that and it still doesn't work or shows a Raw feature.

in the color profile drop down look for raw! also make sure to set you bump2d node to tangent space normals.

Thanks again! I never found a raw feature. But I did resolve it but going to the 3D Bump Attributes and clicking the drop-down Use As. It was set to bump but it works now at Tangent Space Normals. I wouldn't have figured it out without your advice.
