Ncloth and Mash Color node combined, Colors not showing up in Arnold Renderer

I am currently working on a University project where I use both the mash colour node, and ncloth on one object, but when I try to render it out using Arnold the colour comes out greyscale.

I've already tried:

- Making sure Color Vertex is selected in Mash_Repro.

- Making sure the Color node is enabled.

-  Toogle Display color Attribute.

- Assigning an Arnold Material.

- on the Mash_ReproMeshShape tab, mde sure Export Vertex color is selected under the Arnold options.

- Made sure the Color is the Arnold shader - aiUserDataColor, then set the Color Attr Name to colorSet.

- Also I've tried Adding the Color node before and after adding ncloth.

If anyone could please help me or give me some advice it would be much appreciated :).

(Btw if it's an obvious solution I just started my Digital Design Course at Uni, so I'm still getting my head around using the software.)

Hey there,

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I'm having the same issue.

The pitfall is that the actual shape being rendered is not the reproMesh, but a different one, normally named 'outputCloth'. Transfer the color sets from the reproMesh to the outputCloth mesh using 'Modeling menu set > Mesh > Transfer attributes' and the vertex colors should render properly (when you do the normal setup to render vertex colors with MASH in Arnold).
