Maya 2017 - set a render queue with Arnold?

Hi,

I want to clarify one thing, as I am slightly confused.

Is it possible to set a render queue for several scenes (each with it's own 'set project') and just press play to render them one by one?

Or alternatively if above is not possible: to use power of machines connected to the same network to render a single scene faster?

As far as I know queuing render is a standard thing with other popular 3d software packages and 3rd party renders. I tried command line rendering, but it rendered images with watermarks.

So the only solution I found would be to buy Arnold full license or just get a different 3rd party renderer.

Any insight on this matter?

Kind Regards

Hi @ace7V9GL,

Unfortunately, without purchasing a license of Arnold, you would get the watermark when performing a batch render through a network using a render manager. I would say that would be the easiest option is getting the license. Then you can use Backburner which is a free render manager or a third party render manager.

Unfortunately, Arnold does not support Distributed Bucket Rendering in which multiple machines assist with rendering a single frame so in terms of that you would need to find a different renderer.

Hope that helps answer your questions.

Cheers,
