Keyframes ignored during rendering

I have an animation and when I render it certain keyframed objects are not moved. Manually moving through the timeline works fine but when I hit render, some of these objects are not moved.

I've attached the scene below. View the scene from camera1 and scroll the timeline from frame 600 to 608. You can see the table move as the character bumps into it, but if you render these frames, only the character moves and not the table.

(Maya forums is removing it from the attachments for some reason.)

Hi!

The table animation is from frame 594 to 598.

Is also renders fine here with Maya Hardware 2.0.

Please update your Maya and

Try a reset of your preferences.
Rename the folder prefs in folder 2018 to something like prefs_backup, or to reset everything, the folder 2018 to 2018_backup (or even the maya folder to maya_backup). Maya creates new folders (don't copy preferences from previous Maya versions). Detailed at:

Oh sorry you're right. The animation is from 594.

I reset the preferences but it' still exhibiting strange behaviour. Sometimes the character's hair moves by itself while the actual character stays back. Seems to be fixable by selecting the character when I move through the timeline.

Strangely enough, Render Sequence seems to work. It's just Batch Render that doesn't work.

Hi!

I tested Render Sequence and Batch Render and both worked fine with Maya 2018.5.

Please try switching Evaluation Mode ("Parallel" vs "DG") in Preferences.

Yep tried that. If I leave it on Parallel my Maya will crash as soon as I begin moving through the timeline.

I'm using Maya 2018.

Hi!

Then update Maya or simply use Render Sequence.
