Issue with Maya 2017 Arnold Displacement

Having an issue where once a second object is added to the scene, the original object with a displacement shader on it will turn into a cube (only in the render)

I believe it might have something to do with bounds padding? Look at that section here: https://support.solidangle.com/display/AFMUG/Displacement

Looks like a classic bounds padding case. Did you check the Arnold log?

Yup, it was bounds padding. Was fairly new to the renderer and I did not know the bound padding had to be set manually!
