Image sequence darker in After Effects

When I import an image sequence to After Effects for compositing, it looks a lot darker and unsaturated than the Arnold Render View. I've attached screenshots, both from the same frame- one in AE and the other from the Render View.

When I open the exr. file in Photoshop, it's the same as the Render View which is ultimately what I want.

I've tried to bump up the Brightness/Levels all the way in AE, but it doesn't make a difference.

Do I need to render it under some different settings or ?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Hello @Anonymous,

Looks like a gamma issue. Are you using color management? Are you using linear workflow?

The rendering pipeline can be broken down into the following steps:

Without properly color manged images you will have issues with darker or lighting images because the gamma is not correct.

Cheers
