How do I fix the light in Arnold maya 2018?

Good day all,

Apologies because I am new to using Arnold 2018 Maya.  I am attaching screen shots of my render scene.

I set up a scene with a basic spotlight and I got the following results.  The scene is very dark.

Please tell me what I will need to set up to make this work properly?  Also, if you could please provide screen shots or demo video explaining the process.

Hi!

Simply increase Intensity or Exposure.

There are several threads about this here in the forums, please search for "Arnold" and "Light".

Thank you for your response.  I am sorry but I do not have access to maya at the moment.  Could you be kind of enough to provide a screen shot of where to find the attribute on the light or render stats?

I am new so I really did not understand.

Use Attribute Editor with LightShape selected.

Please read the Maya Online Help / Documentation and Arnold for Maya User Guide for more details, this is pretty basic stuff and well covered in the docs.
