Batch render wont' start

Just finished a new install or Maya 2023 on Rocky Linux. Everything renders fine from the GUI but batch rendering fails with all 3 renderers (Arnold, software, and hardware). Reports rendering complete in the script editor and mayaRenderLog.txt just says...

Starting "/usr/autodesk/maya2023/bin/maya"
Cannot start maya

Anyone seen this before?

still trying to track this down. Command line rendering also doesn't work... running a render script just returns..

Flags:
-v prints the product version and cut number
-batch for batch mode
-prompt for interactive non-gui mode
-proj [dir] look for files in the specified project dir
-command [mel command] runs the specified command on startup
-file [file] opens the specified file
-script [file] sources the specified file on startup
(use complete file name)
-recover recover the last journal file
(use 'Render -help' for more options)
-optimizeRender [file] [outfile]
optimize maya file efficient for rendering
purposes, and put result in outfile
(use 'maya -optimizeRender -help' for more options)
-archive [file] displays a list of files required to archive the specified scene
-noAutoloadPlugins do not auto-load any plug-ins.
-3 enable Python 3000 compatibility warnings
-help prints this message
Is it possible a license server problem will keep maya batch from starting? When I try to check my hostid using /opt/flexnetserver/lmutil lmhostid - I get No such file or directory. but I am sure the file is there?

Anybody have a similar issue?

Hey there.

Iv been having the same/similar problem.

I used to use the App "Batch Script Generator" to queue Maya renders. But it doesnt work any more with Maya 2023.

it just stops after the first one.

When you say you solved it with a fresh install. Was it a fresh install of windows and Maya, or only Maya?

Thanks for your help!

Just to update...

I found some other suggestions to uninstall Arnold. As bazar as it may seem, it worked!

The batch script generator is working again. The scenes queue properly and all get rendered.
