Batch render // Error: V-Ray : There was a fatal error building the scene for V-

Everything renders well, but then once I insert this one rigged  model, it gives me an // Error: V-Ray : There was a fatal error building the scene for V-Ray. I need to fix this asap because the project deadline is Monday.

Hi!

 

With this amount of information, i can only say there is an error and it's related to V-Ray.

 

Look at the mayaRenderLog.txt for more information.

Where can I find it? I went to Users/Documents/Maya and clicked mayalog but nothing inside. Unless that's not it?

Hi!

 

It should be besides the mayalog.

Please try any other renderer and scene with batch render to make sure the mayaRenderLog.txt will be created.

I can render just fine with any other model, but soon as I use this one model it wont render. once I do render view.

There seems to be a problem with your geometry (mesh) or with something that comes directly after "Translating scene geometry for V-Ray" (check other ...log.txt for a render that worked)

This happens for creating invalid connection between v-ray and non-vray nodes together, if there is any texture created with PSD Network from UV Editor, and then both 'color' (non v-ray node) and 'diffuse' (v-ray node) are loaded together in the photoshop file, this is a classic glitch and can be avoided by not using psd network for any uv based texturing, you can use the psd file to set up texture co ordinates but make sure to save as a JPG file to load for that vray material color slot, avoid loading any psd file to model sets.

Additionally, ensure to write nCache data along with removing nucleus if there is any fx added to the scene, can solve it in a jiffy.

In my case, when I insert the image that named other language besides English for 'reflection' in v-ray.

that error sentence came out.

 

1. check the image name or folder's name (Don't use other language without English)

2. Make sure you set 'Set Project ' and create folder for your works.
