Arnold Rendering Issues

When I enter the Arnold render view and hit the button to render, it always crashes. I have it set to CPU which I was told by my teacher to do. How do I get it to render without crashing?

What crashes? Maya, or the render?
If it is the render that crashes, can you get an Arnold log? Set the verbosity level to Info
See Help | Diagnostics | Autodesk

Assuming you are on Windows, then when you start Maya, open Windows > Output Window.

You should an Arnold log, which looks something like this:

Please post the log header for your machine, so we know some of the details about your system.

Also, does this happen with any scene, even an empty scene?

Yes, I am on Windows 11 pro. When I hit the render button in Arnold render view the whole Maya program crashes. However, I just downloaded Maya 2024.2 and I was able to render in the Arnold render view.
