Arnold Rendering Error: Nans or Infs

Hello,

I am using Maya 2019 and one of the objs is not rendering in Arnold Renderer.  It renders in other ones, but not that one.  This error Message keeps coming up:  // Warning: resetting parameter nlist on /Landing_Pod/Pod/Body/Frame/FrameShape (found: nans or infs)

Is there a solution for figuring out how to get rid of the Nans or Infs.  I did a cleanup of the mesh, looked into the texture and changed it, deleted the mesh and brought it back, and I am still running into a error.

Thank you!

Try saving MA, then edit the file - replace NaN with 0.0.

I never stumbled upon the Infs, see the context - share back what those were.

Thank you for the quick response!,

"replace NaN with 0.0." When you say that, how would I replace NaN with 0.0?

Thanks!

It's a problem with the normals (nlist = normals list).

So take a look at the normals in Maya. Maybe use the utility shader to visualize the normals...

@Stephen.Blair

Thank you for your response!

I've looked into the normals to see if there were any issues with it but it's still not rendering.  Is there a more specific way you would suggest?  This is the mesh that I am working with.

Hi!

Please provide a scene-file with that object.

If this is an imported object from any 3rd party file format, please provide that file as well.

Hi!

I wonder how you could open the scene, here it did not work because of massive error messages.

Recovered scene attached.

Hi!

Please also check the inner part of the "Frame" object, it seems there are some unneeded faces that need to be deleted.

Ah ok! Thank you! This was actually a model that was sent to me, so I've been trying to figure out the errors.
