Hi!

This is a bug in Maya 2020.

Please report this problem (bug?) to Autodesk.
In Maya main menu:
Help -> Speak Back -> Report a Problem

As workaround keep Test Resolution at 100% and reduce image size at Render Settings.

I'm having the exact same issue consistently. you have to pause the render then make the change to stop it happening. really frustrating ><

Hi!

@Anonymous  and @alwinch

Please check the latest version of the Arnold plug-in (4.0.2), based on the release notes it should be fixed.

I just updated to Arnold 4.0.4 in maya 2020 to try to fix this issue and it still happens.

When using the IPR and render region it is still bugging out and shrinking the render resolution on scene update.

When you have an IPR render going and you change the 'test resolution' and then use render region is when the problem happens for me.  I did this all the time in maya 2019 with older versions of Arnold without any problems.

Hi!

This happened to me also again in a later version.

For now I only change the main resolution in Render Settings as this problem is pretty annoying.

Some problem greetings here. . . . Still struggling with it. Is there already a solution to it? Would be a great Christmas present 🙂
