Arnold Render output gamma help

Hello!

I need to have my render outputs to be sRGB not linear color space. Im not too familiar with changing the color management options, but it seems pretty straight forward.

My process is rendering with Arnold.  Render / Render Sequence and send it to a folder.

I have many render layers that I bring into photoshop (over 200), each image needs to have the gamma applied

I tried every setting I have available in the "Rendering Space:" drop down and rendered - still the gamma isn't there.

Under "Output Color Transform Preferences"  I turned on "Apply Output Transform to Renderer" and tried every combo of setting for this.. still the gamma isnt applied.

If I render with EXRs.. the images come out the way i need them, with alpha and with gamma. but I dont need 32 bit large files..  I cant seem to get the color management output to apply to PNGs or TIFFs

Using Maya 2019

By default, the color space for jpg and png output is set to Use View Transform, which gives me the expected result.

Note how the gamma in my image viewer is set to 1.0 for the image that used the View Transform, while for the other two (Raw and Output Transform) I had to set the gamma to 2.2

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting! Did you have a chance to try out @Stephen.Blair's suggestion? Any new issues pop up with that strategy?

Hello, I feel this was more of an explanation rather than a solution. As descriptive and informative as it was, I tried changing the setting and the problem is still there.

Can someone tell me the correct settings to use?

Perhaps you should upload an example scene and textures, to show the problem. Because I don't know how to reproduce the problem.

Hello! Thank you again!

It really seems to be my render exports settings. Seems that no matter what Color Management settings or Metadata / Colorspace settings I choose.. My renders come out linear, needing to be adjusted.

Using Arnold, I go to Render / Render Sequence (option box) - I select a folder to export to and hit Render. And My images always come out without gamma applied. (attached)

I have attached a snapshot of my Color management and Render Settings as well.
