Arnold displaying uv map texture warped

Hello, hope someone has some time to help a new-to-Maya student out! I searched the forums but couldn't find any similar questions.

I'm using the aiStandard shader with an image that matches the UV map, but there seems to be some warping or distortion between when I render with Arnold vs. with the Maya Software or even compared to the viewport.

The first image is how it's showing up in Maya software, and the second is how it's showing up in Arnold. You can see the weird distortion on the brown lines near the center on the second image.

I'm at a total loss - I've tried so far:

  • Connecting the image file both as the normal Maya file node and as the aiImage
  • Saving the image as both png and tif before loading into Maya, and also putting in the auto-converted .tx file on the file node
  • Messing with mip-map settings
  • Checked the UV set editor (I only have 1 set on this shape)

Thanks for your help!
