Hi, I already create 2 different lambert material for 2 different meshes. I have painted the first mesh with no problem, but when I want to paint the second one (assigning it the other llambert), I assign a texture (1024x1024, png or jpeg), but Maya tell me "some surfaces have no file texture assigned to the current atributte".
¿What is the problem? I just painted two meshes in other project with different lamberts and have no problem with that.
This blow my mind. ¿What I have missed? ¿Is it possible to paint them with the same material?

From Maya Help:
When you select the 3D Paint Tool, Maya checks to see if there are any file textures already assigned to the selected surfaces for the current attribute (such as color or bump maps). If any of the surfaces do not have file textures assigned, Maya prompts you to assign textures to them. Maya creates the textures, assigns them to the surfaces, names the new textures based on the current scene, shape and attribute names, and places them in a subdirectory of the current project’s 3dPaintTextures directory.
When you paint on a single surface, Maya does not create a switch node.
When you paint on multiple surfaces with the same material assigned, Maya creates a switch node for each painted attribute.
See if you have any more incoming connections from other file textures into switch node.
