Hi, I have recently downloaded Maya 2025.1 and realised that some of my files have been affected by the vaccine.py virus. I have downloaded Maya Scanner/Maya Security Tool and attempted to fix the issue, and when I click 'save' there is no longer the weird warning characteristic of the virus. However, when I open or create scenes there is still a notice from the scanner that userSetup.py has been infected by malware and that vaccine.py has been found, followed by an error that reads:

// Error: TypeError: file <frozen posixpath> line 76: expected str, bytes or os.PathLike object, not NoneType

for another file it came up with this:

# Error: RuntimeError: TypeError: file <frozen posixpath> line 76: expected str, bytes or os.PathLike object, not NoneType

I'm not able to find the location of the userSetup.py or the vaccine.py files on my computer.

How do I completely get rid of the issues caused by the vaccine virus and prevent this error from arising when I open Maya?

There is a more recent exploit that the Maya scanner is looking for.  Its a very windows specific scenario to look at the user appdata path for a specific folder the exploit creates.  Assuming you are on Mac or Linux those folders do not exist which spits out the warning.  Everything else should work as normal and based on the screenshot the userSetup and vaccine.py have been cleared.
