So far I am not having any luck getting around the "locking" of the panel to the sequencer. Selecting a camera or changing to persp changes the view as expected, but as soon as you move the slider it jumps back. Closing the panel then reopening does nothing as it reinitiates upon opening. Tearing the panel off does nothing either. The panel that is torn off does not retain sequence lock, but instead the new panel that Maya creates in its place takes over.
With echoall on, the initial code makes sense, but the final call is sequencerRangeChangedCB which has 2 google hits, neither of which is useful.
