Be sure to submit this as a bug directly to Autodesk.

https://www.autodesk.com/company/contact-us/product-feedback

There are some Autodesk employees on this forum, but it's mostly just other Maya users. You'll have much better luck getting it fixed if you submit it there.

Hey thanks @jmreinhart. Thanks for this, I've done that in the past, but to be honest, I don't really care about getting it fixed :P. This forum post marks the extent of my effort to help Autodesk fix there error messages. It's their problem if the QA/Dev department never look at the forum.

Hi Luke,

Thanks for reporting this. I'll make sure it is logged.

The bug is a minor one (the error message is displaying the wrong attribute name) so it will be addressed in the next major release.

There are a number of Autodesk employees like myself who monitor and respond to forum posts but sometimes things fall through the cracks due to the volume of posts. Rest assured that Autodesk is made of of people who care deeply about our products and we take bug reports seriously.

Thanks.
