Hello,

I am looking for an environment variable, or a method that I can override ApplicationPlugins directory, which is a default location of installing maya bonustools.

Is there a clean way to re-direct the location instead of individually setting plugins, pythonpath, and script paths?

Thank you for the link, I am setting Maya bonus tools to a shared location, and it includes various plugins and scripts and I hope there is a better way than setting multiple MAYA paths.

I tried setting MAYA_PACKAGE_PATH to the directory having PackageContents.xml file, but it doesn't change anything. Is there a success story with the environment variable?

Maya 2022 help for the file path variables gave me the answer. Thank you.

How did you solve it?

I did set the MAYA_PACKAGE_PATH variable to the folder with the PackageContents.xml but the Bonus Tools are not loaded.

Is this env variable even available in Maya versions before 2020?

You need to point to the folder above, containing the BonusTools folder
