Need to fix "Unable to locate valid MAYA_APP_DIR"

I downloaded maya 2018 and my system is windows 10, when I open it this message keep showing up, "Unable to locate valid MAYA_APP_DIR" can anyone tell me how to fix this please?

There is OneDrive protection in latest Windows 10 for Documents/Desktop/Pictures. You need to turn it off and Maya will be able to create directory in Documents. 

Found it unexpectedly but it should help.
