maya custom script location for Mac OS users

Hello all,

Sorry but I am really confused where to place custom scripts for a Mac OS system in maya.

Do I place the scripts in this folder thread:

Users/Shared/Autodesk/Maya/2011/scripts

or Do I place the script in this one:

Users/Shared/Autodesk/Maya/2011/scripts/prefs/scripts

Please advise and thank you-

Steve

Hi stevenfila7,

I'm not sure where you would place it for Maya 2011, but for newer versions of Maya, you can place your custom scripts anywhere in your local working directory as long as you have your environment variables set up correctly to point to it.

If you follow this documentation on how to set up your environment, it tells you to to save all scripts into "$HOME/devkit/plug-ins/scripts" and put the environment variable "MAYA_SCRIPT_PATH = $HOME/devkit/plug-ins/scripts" into your Maya.env file.
