I don't have a middle mouse button, help!

I kind of use it constantly on the one at school, but my mouse at home is a tracman marble. I have to use it because of my carpal tunnel. But it doesn't have a middle mouse button. How can I switch that move view control to a key or something? I'm using windows, not mac! Maya 2018

You need middle mouse button functionality.

Maybe you can add this with special programmed setting for one of the buttons of a programmable mouse or use a specialized scene-navigator like a device from 3dconnexion, for example:

I'm not sure it's in my budget to buy a 3D mouse because my tracmouse
doesn't have a middle button.

Yes it is programmable, but unfortunately setting something as middle mouse button does not seem possible within the constraints of the program.

I did try that, it made me sad it did not work. 😞

I will doublecheck again when i get home. Perhaps i got the wrong program.

Hi,

If the Trackman Marble reports itself as a 2-button mouse, Maya will detect that and will recognize ctrl + left mouse button as middle mouse button click.
