i'm working in maya2022.4, need export material to ue5,

i compiled materialx, created a simple scene, with only one sphere, assigned aistandardsurface,

then export shader using materialx, but when i import this shader into ue5, error occured.

so i want to try export usd with materialx, but in the materials options, only USD Preview Surface ,

can not found materialx option, how can i make materiax usable during export usd ?

Im not sure if this is gonna work without lookdevx.
And im not sure if unreal is able to read the data at all.

I agree to many unknowns.

StrandardSurface PBR materials are embbeded into USD export and converted to USDPreview inside USD.
When read back into Maya or Blender ( latest dev ) the USD are converted by option box to standardSurface or for Blender in Principle.
On my side i have huge automotive libraies converted from TAC7 AXF to PBR standardSurface to jump to other software and editing, it is really interesting.
the viewPort is fine, Iray render it, Arnold render it, USB embbed it, Blender read it ...

Only problem is native nodes like bump2d and roughness map is not correctly saved into USD from Maya.
It is a known issue but once overpassed , a brilliant exchange comes true !

I don't know how to create .mtlx materials from standardSurface, it anyone knows i would be so happy
