Not sure if this is the correct subsection to ask this because you are in the "Maya Programming" forum.
Well, I fear you will have to be more specific what you exactly want to do. Usually you shoot a lifeaction sequence with a green/blue background, recreate the more ore less rough location in maya add some nice mountains, render this out with the correct lighting and compose the rendered result into the original life footage by removing the blue with the help of a compositing program.
So in which of these parts do you need help?
