Error when starting "maya -prompt" or "maya -batch"

I would like to execute some maya (2014) MEL commands in command line, but whenever I start maya with the -prompt or the -batch flags, I receive this error:

ImportError: No module named site

Even without additional arguments.

Any idea how I could prevent this ?
