3DS Import plugin not loading

Getting the following error when trying to load the 3dsImport plugin, anyone seen this before or know how to fix it?

That means that the plugin you are using -- has not been compiled against the newer Maya.

It is one of the silliest things of Maya -- Everytime a new SDK comes out -- you need to rebuild old plugins with the new SDK. -- Something that is completely broken of Maya. 

Only way I can see to fix it -- is well -- to either roll back to an earlier version of Maya -- Or -- find a newer release of that plugin
