XGen Interactive groom detached from model

I decided to use XGen interactive groom to create hair for my character. I'm using Maya 2017. While I found xGen's tools and brushes really easy to use. I tried converting the Xgen hair to polygons and I keep getting this error message saying "// Warning: XGen(1):  No XGen description selected or found" even though I have my description selected in the outliner.

If I could get help attaching my hair to my model or exporting my hair to polygons.

I'm trying to find a way to get this to render in either Arnold

Hi!

The Cache file is missing for your file.

How do you try to convert?

Hi!

Again:

- Still no .abc file attached.

- How do you try to convert Xgen hair to polygons (by creating a cache)?

Yeah, when i try to convert to polygons, it comes up with an error message.

It wont let me upload my abc file for some reason, but if you just create a new cache that should work fine

Hi!

The file (XGen part) seems to be damaged, i can't recreate the cash file.

It looks like some necessary files for XGen have been deleted.
