wireframe modeling

Hello, 
I am modeling in maya from 1 year. I have one question that is there any way to make the mesh like a wire frame, like wire frame modifier in blender. same as the image?

Hi!

You could do this by first converting Polygon Edges to Curves and then extrude them (a script would be helpful), or

use MASH and Distribute objects at the edges.
