Why modelling so expensive?

So many tutorials for free are there online, any one can learn & do, but still, maya modelling why so expensive? Is it because of time spending in it or its so dry to work on maya?

Maya is considered professional software. Hence the price.

Go Blender if price is an issue.

thanks for reply. I tried with many small new corporates or training institutes proposing them, a 3d animated video can help in social media and presentation purposes, but so far no success. Ironic is, everyone agrees and appreciate this idea of animated video but i think, it looks good to them but not intuitively believe that it can help in bringing results..

In kuala umpur, small company directors aware of social media but they not yet feel intuition about it. how to make them aware, what to say to them? i just have no clue to convince corporate directors?

actually i do door to door sales. I want to sell my own products rather that other companies' ones. I have a gift and intuitively believe that, i have a skill to be in right place at right time. I am selling great products like Air purifier and water purifiers of Coway from Korea. But, i want to stop this, i want to sell my own products and i don't want to stop door to door, i enjoy the adventure of moving here and their rather than sitting in one office whole day. 

what i need to know from you, How to convince small corporate directors that having a corporate animated video can help to bring results or clients for them. What are the strategies i shoud show them, what direction? what to show them and how?

To give you clue for the answer i require from you is, mainly small businesses in kuala lumpur depends on roadshows, call centers. There are networking forums like BNI and some other, but still people not really aware of networking.

if you just want modeling, then Maya is not the product for you. Maya is the package for people who do and need a lot more than just modeling. Advanced dynamics/Special FX and animation for example.
