UV Mapping and Exporting

Hello all,

I am very new to Maya, I've been trying to follow as many tutorials as I can and learn but I am stuck. I've created a school desk in solidworks and exported it to Maya as 4 different STL files, one for the desk top, the trim, the frame, and the seat as I want them all to have different textures. I've automatically UV mapped them all and I think I've done it right. I'm planning on exporting them for a call of duty map as an xmodel_export. For them to be used, I also need a color map, so my question is how do I join all the meshes and somehow get one big color map or get multiple color maps from each mesh? I could be doing this all wrong as well so please feel free to correct my method.

You can join the objects by going to Mesh > Combine. You can either fit all of the UVs in the UV space before you combine or you'll have to automatic map the new mesh after you combine.
