Hi.
I'm new to Maya (2022) and I am using an iMac. My mouse is the standard magic mouse that came with the mac and as such only has one button. As a result, I set my mouse settings to single-button mouse and it works well for other things like the marking menu etc. However, when it comes time to use the multi cut tool, I have to switch to the two-button mouse setting, because the single-button mouse setting confuses the "ctrl key + left button click" combination as a "right click" which then brings up the marking menu. And when I let the "ctrl" key go, the edge loop remains, but I can't lock it in using a mouse click or keys like "enter".
While, I can create the edge loop using the two-button mouse setting, I feel that this is inefficient and time consuming. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to use the multi cut tool with the single-button mouse setting?
I know it's not the answer you're looking for, but you'll have a much better time with Maya (and probably lots of other tools) if you get a standard three-button mouse...
