Unfold randomly disconnects vertexes???

So i use unfold in my current model to uv map ofc, its gone perfectly fine untill very recently. one area of the model when i unfold faces they disconnect from everything and leave every edge around them disconnected. So i have to manually connect the vertexes again, and it does this not only to the faces ive already unfolded but also to other faces that ive unfolded. Its so weird considering its worked perfectly before, id assume its something with non manifolds but im not sure. urgent help please! thx 🙂

Seeing no actual geo, non-manifolds are the main cause, as by default, the uv Unfold options are to fix those upon unfolding:

Do Mesh > Cleanup.. before proceeding with uv mapping.

Mend the "fixed" geometry parts, which might result in chipped-off geo.
