I am new to Maya and have been working on splitting atlases from Quixel Megascans. I noticed having exporting some of the models I had created that one side appears black in my engine. I realised that this was also the case when inspecting the model in Maya.
Apparently the solution for this is "to make a replica of the model and reapply the textures fresh on this one and they will show up correctly."
Could someone please explain precisely what this means? I have tried duplicating the model but this doesn't work...
