So i'm working on a low poly fox model and i've created one half and then mirrored that and am now attempting to merge the overlapping vertices. This has worked for the most part, however 2 vertices which surround another vertex have a strange displacement which is less than ideal. The only other thing of note i've done which could have contributed to this is i combined and bridged some meshes (the legs), but everything else has been just standard modelling.
This is low poly so it's not entirely important but i'd like to know the cause and solution for the future if it ever becomes a problem. Any suggestions are appreciated ๐

Hi!
There can be multiple reasons for such a result, I recommend to delete 2 nearby faces and rebuild them with the Append to Polygon tool.
Hi thanks for the response! I tried what you said and it did fix the problem, however now in normal view without smooth you can't see the harsh line which gives it that low poly look, is there a simple way of getting that back?
Hi!
With the object or components selected, in Modeling menu:
Mesh Display -> Harden Edge
Ahh thanks a lot! Never even knew about that feature, shows theres so much to the software i learn something new all the time haha.
Appreciate the help wish you the best ๐
