SHIFT AND DRAG TO EXTRUDE NOT WORKING

Hey,

All of a sudden shift and drag does not extrude anymore, I can see the extrusion data in the Attribute but whatever tool I use it just move, rotate or scale whatever vertex, edge or face I try, any kind help ?

Try to reset your maya preference which is located under users\documents\maya version\prefs. Change the name of prefs folder to something prefsOld and restart maya. Maya will ask you to create default preference just create default preference.

Hello! I had the same problem and realized that I accidentally changed the selection settings.

Tool Selection > Soft Select > Soft Select

Had a case where the extrude on rotation would only work with Step Snap set to off or relative, but not absolute.

(with Step Snap set to absolute, the extrude would not execute, just the rotation, not sure if that's a bug or a feature...)
