Shadow Gap

Hi,

I created a Polygon Primitive Cube (floor) and a cylinder (tree) that I got flatten...actually even if I use a Plane the outcome doesn't change. As long as I create a "spotlight" I get a shadow gap between these two Primitives. I only see this gap with light in prospective view. No gap from "from" or "side". Please see the attached files. I need to please a flat cylinder or a plane on top of the cube anyway, but I don't want to show such gap. Anyone can help me? Thanx. D
