Shaded Display Faces Problem.

Hi,

i want to build a object using polygons and the modeling toolkit.

It worked very well, but now some faces of this object has no grey color.

The grey color disapears. Some faces have a color and some have no color.

It looks like the wireframe when i press 4. But i'm using the shaded display.

what can i do to get this color back?

Sorry for my bad english, hope you can help me. I'm using the first time Autodesk Maya 205 Studentversion.

It looks like you have a few polygons with reversed normals.  Go into polygon mode and select all of the polygons.  Then click on Normals -> Conform.

Normals usually turn black, but it could be. If not just re-assign the texture and it will be all good. Happens at times in maya!

You're absolutely right, tsefreeflow...normals usually turn black when reversed...unless backface culling is turned on.  Then they would be transparent...
