Problem with Revolve Tool

So I was trying to follow a tutorial for a college Maya assignment and I had to use the revolve tool on this shape: Screenshot 2024-10-29 001459.png

The tutorial that I was following was able to get this shape by clicking the revolve tool:Screenshot 2024-10-29 001527.png

But, when I tried it myself I got this shape:Screenshot 2024-10-29 001514.png

How can I solve this problem?

First of all, check the axis to be revolve. In this case, the axis to be revolve is the X axis.

Open the revolve options box, change the Axis preset to X, and click the Revolve button.

That will create the desired shape.

Or, after executing the command, click on “revolve*” (* is a number) in INPUTS in the Channelbox and enter 1 for AxisX, Y, or Z.

Has Revolve been completed?
The holes for the wheels are another question.
If you are making it in NURBS, you can make the holes by stacking the cylinders for the holes and Boolean.

After that, you can create a beveled edge by executing Round.

If it is a polygon object, you can also create a hole by stacking cylinders for the hole and booleaning. I think it would be better if the edges were handled cleanly before executing the bevel.
