Problem importing .obj file

Hi, I am using Maya 2017 and having trouble importing .obj files. When I export and import .obj file, maya would show me an error like the picture below.

I do get a .obj and a ,mtl file after exporting selected objects. But there is nothing when I am trying to import the .obj file back to Maya. 

Is there anything wrong with my settings?

Hi!

Try a reset of your preferences.
Rename the folder prefs in folder 2017 to something like prefs_backup, or to reset everything, the folder 2017 to 2017_backup. Maya creates new folders. Detailed at:
