Preparing for 3D printing / Smoothing / Bevel

Hi!

This is first time I'm using May. It may be stupid way of doing the model in that way but I think I come to design that I like. This object is a housing pod that carries a tablet for my car and I'm going to print it but have some problem.

Here is the final draft

The first one is the sharp edges. I cant use the bevel function here or any sculpting tools to smooth/round the corner

As you see the picture below there two objects on my design. I couldnt make it one. Combining objects doesnt actually combines it. I tried boolean operation with no success. I think the bevel fails because of my design attitude. Is there a way to do an union object?

Since it is gonna be printed in a 3d printed I need more resolution. Smoothing operations fails everytime. Any tricks for that?

Any feedback are welcome but please don't tell me to do it again as it takes too much time(try/error) for me.

Btw, forum doesn't accept Maya Binary files? I tried to attach it but no way

looking at your geometry it looks like it has gotten a bit tangled in the corner. Unfortunately starting again with making a really low poly version with nice clean geometry would be the best way to go. Then you can smooth it and add divisions. It looks like you have gotten quite far with this one so I am thinking you could make a new low-poly version very quickly 😉
